Q. Can a coach drop a player from a Class A team?

A. Coaches cannot "cut" a player from a Class A roster. If a player's parent decides the player will not be at the tournament or if you know the player will be absent, you do NOT have to remove the player from your roster. At games, you do have to bat your present roster and follow other rules regarding players playing.

Q. What makes a player Class A eligible?

A. The player must be registered with a Class A league, and play 75% of the league games. In addition, he/she cannot be frozen on any Class AA or higher roster. A class A player cannot appear on any Class AAA or higher roster. Please see USSSA rules for more information.
